Spain: Friday 1st March - Tuesday 5th March (2024)
I expect to be in Spain at about 10.30hrs CET Friday 1st March until about 09.00hrs CET Tuesday 5th March. I expect to be at the house by noon, maybe a short while after, it depends on how long it takes me to do the groceries shopping. But then again it could be about 1pm because I might need to transport a sheet of perspex from Valencia on the roofrack of a car. I won't be sleeping at the house on Saturday night / Sunday morning, I will be in a hotel approximately 9km-10km from Valencia city centre. But Friday, Sunday and Monday nights I will be at the house. And Sunday morning I will be in Valencia city, but I'm not sure if I will check out of the hotel at 9am or noon.
I had a very bad health scare starting in mid January and I needed to take 2 weeks off work. It was vertigo, not an illness to take lightly. I thought it was all over, no more salary and no more escaping the clutches of Britain and transmogrifying to Spain. But I did several Epley manouvres and the vertigo has all but gone, it's basically in remission and I need to ensure that it doesn't surface again. I'm back on track.
I am hoping to start life in Spain in November 2024 BUT I am experiencing delays with... a lawyer... but despite this I might still make it in time. Selflessness appears to be scarce in England, if this lawyer was selfless I am sure I would not be experiencing this delay. There are several major things that I can not do including visa application, starting the removals process, setting up a virtual business address and setting up a business bank account until this lawyer completes what he is required to complete. I am thinking of buying a Spanish registered left-side drive car in England, driving to a ferry, taking a 2-3 day ferry to northern Spain then driving down to Costa Blanca for the final leg of the migration.
