My 2nd Spanish NLV Appeal
Life's been too hectic for me over the past several weeks possibly months to post anything about my second Spanish NLV appeal but now I have something conclusive.
I applied for the Spanish NLV using an agency specialising in immigration. They pledge 100% success or your money back. My second Spanish NLV application was rejected.? It was because of Andrew Branson's alias Lester Gray's Criminal Record. I felt doomed. But I was already prepared for rejection. Why? Because I'm not naive. Even if you meet the criteria for a visa it's not compulsory for a consulate to approve your application. I find it's always best to have a tiny little something in reserve just in case anything goes wrong.
I had the right to appeal against this visa denial and the Spanish Consulate had to receive my appeal within one month from the day of receiving this visa denial letter (it was sent to me via a tracked delivery service). It took me several hours to compile this appeal and get it translated. It was very difficult. I sent it to the Spanish Consulate via Royal Mail Special Delivery, a next day delivery service, and on the Royal Mail tracking website it showed as delivered. There was a delivery photo. It was a photo of several letters in a sorting office.? I was concerned. Weeks passed. Did the Spanish Consulate ever receive my appeal letter? I had no acknowledgement that they had.
Fast forward to the end of the first week of February. I received an email from the Spanish Consulate; "We are glad to inform you that your visa appeal has been aproved." What more can I say?
I'm aiming to be living in Spain permanently by about mid August 2026 at the latest. But I've got a tiny little something in reserve just in case anything goes wrong.
