Spain: Saturday 8th June 2024 to Wednesday 12th June 2024
This might just be my last short trip to Spain from England because my next journey to Spain from England might be to start the first year of my non-lucrative visa term. I have not applied for the visa yet but I do not meet any of the typical reasons for refusal. Now, on the subject of the visa that I intend to apply for - hopefully within four months from now - I am hoping for some workarounds. My case is unique and very unusual, impossible to stereotype. Hopefully the right people in the right places will understand and will effect the required workarounds. You know, the Lester Gray problem that started on 2nd August 1968 in England. What a blight.
I expect to be at VLC at approximately 1930hrs CET Saturday 8th June when I will hopefully get a shuttle bus to my hire car then I intend to do some minor shopping in IKEA, Leroy Merlin and one of the nearest supermarkets in Alfafar. Then along to the house hopefully arriving by 2300hrs CET.
On Sunday 9th June I expect to be in Valencia from about 0900hrs CET to about 1200hrs CET. Then back to the house when I might just cut the perspex for the front door. The front door has been an expensive pain, about EUR600 so far. I had to have the locks changed (two of them) - about EUR350 (?!). Then I had to buy a 5mm thick 2m x 1m perspex sheet - about EUR160 including gasolina and ratchet straps for the roof of the car! Then I had to buy some rubber 'U' channel for the edges of the perspex sheet - about EUR10. Then a straight edge to do the cutting with - about EUR10. Then some privacy film - about EUR30. And I had to buy some escutcheon plates for the locks on the front door. And some chains and padlocks - about EUR90. Now I need to buy a cutting knife with extra blades in Spain - about EUR10. I just hope I don't make a mistake when I do the cutting and when applying the privacy film... (Yes, I did buy privacy film that is suitable for perspex).
